EOPS is a state-funded program designed to help non-traditional and low-income students attain a higher education by providing a variety of support services for academic success.

To be considered for EOPS, please complete steps 1-4 listed below. Students should submit an EOPS application ONLY after completing steps 1-4. Applications will not be reviewed if steps 1-4 are not completed.

Educational eligibility includes but is not limited to students who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Not qualified for the minimal level of Math/English based on placement test scores • No high school diploma or GED
  • High school GPA below 2.50
  • Enrolled in high school/college remedial/basic skills/ESL courses
  • First generation college student
  • Parents never attended college
  • Member of an underrepresented group
  • EOPS eligibility is determined if a student meets ALL of the following criteria:
  • BOGW A or B eligible
  • Educationally disadvantaged (MEET AT LEAST ONE Educational Eligibility criteria listed above)
  • California resident
  • Full-time student (12.0 units or more)
  • Have earned less than 70 Associate degree applicable units
